BSG Automotive supplies ECU tuning files for trade users and prepared customers who already have a valid ECU read from compatible tuning tools. Send us the original file or reliable ECU identification, tell us what the vehicle needs, and we will review the software numbers before building a file that is ready to write back to the vehicle.

This service is useful for garages and mobile technicians who can read and write ECUs but want support with calibration, delete requests, DTC solutions or vehicle-specific tuning strategy. We also support local London customers who have already had their ECU read and need a checked file rather than a full mobile remap appointment.

How the file-service workflow works

  • Send the ECU read or ID: include the original read where possible, make, model, engine, year, ECU type, software number and tool used.
  • We review compatibility: the ECU family, software version and requested options are checked before any file is built.
  • We modify and check the file: calibration changes are made from the original file, with checksums and obvious file integrity issues reviewed.
  • You receive the write-ready file: the modified file is returned with notes for writing, and the original file is kept as a recovery baseline.
  • Support and revisions: where appropriate, we help with sensible revisions based on logs, fault codes or write-tool feedback.

Quality control matters

A tuning file should match the exact ECU software, not just the engine code. We work from the vehicle's original read wherever possible so immobiliser data, coding areas and software structure remain aligned with the car. If a file request is risky, incomplete or not suitable for the ECU, we will say so before you write anything to the vehicle.
